Planning Baseline
What to expect before requesting a quote.
- Smallest useful run
- Six coordinated pieces. One-off stagewear can still be reviewed separately.
- Normal lead time
- Plan for four to six weeks after the garment plan and direction are approved.
- Budget expectation
- Custom garments, dye labor, and delivery are quoted together. Printing and special packing are separate when needed.
- Rush availability
- Anything under four weeks is reviewed case by case and may carry a rush charge. Availability is not guaranteed.
These are starting guidelines, not a posted package price. Garment availability, printing, artwork setup, shipping distance, and the production calendar can change the final quote and schedule.

Scope the run
Lock the garment lane, quantity, timing, and whether the work is stagewear, merch, or a release-specific batch.
Build the dye direction
Translate the band's sound, artwork, and palette into a dye plan that still feels like Donut Dyes work.
Produce and finish
Move through dye, rinse, dry, quality check, and packing with the deadline visible from the start.
Hand off cleanly
Ship or stage the finished pieces with simple notes for care, table setup, and drop communication.

The practical notes that protect a show date.
Artwork rights
Send only artwork, logos, and type you have permission to use. Donut Dyes can work from approved files and visual references, but rights to third-party artwork stay with the band or rights holder.
Tour and venue dates
Share the show, tour, release, or venue date and the date the pieces need to be in hand. Build in at least one week for shipping, sorting, and any venue handoff.
Reorders
Reorders are treated as a new batch. The palette and overall direction can be repeated, but hand-dyed placement and color balance will not be exact copies.
Merch-table delivery
Standard handoff is packed in bulk by size. Individual bags, size stickers, table-ready sorting, or direct venue delivery can be reviewed and added to the quote when practical.
